Conference Location - Kassel, GermanyThis year, the INSS will take place in Kassel, in the heart of Germany. Especially designed for conferences, Kassel is in possession of one of Europe’s best event locations - the Congress Palais.
Kassel possesses a great history, which begins in the times of princes and earls, who lived in Kassel and endowed it with unique buildings and nature parks, e.g. the mountain park Wilhelmshöhe with the Hercules figure as well as the palace Wilhelmshöhe. Today, Kassel stands for culture and internationality. Great cultural events take place in Kassel regularly, e.g. an exhibition of modern arts, the documenta, which is the largest and most important in the world. Kassel is also famous for the Brothers Grimm, who spent a lot of time here. A museum and even a whole part of town are dedicated to their history and fairy tales. A further renowned citizen of Kassel is the great composer and violinist Louis Spohr. He developed and implemented the modern orchestra culture as court conductor in the 19th century.
